Ntsoana has, over the years, successfully collaborated with several Artists from different artistic backgrounds.
Sello Pesa worked consistently with French choreographer Valerie Berger over a 4 year period, both in Reunion Island and in South Africa, together they created several works which toured in Europe and Africa. In 2011 Valerie returned to Johannesburg to conduct workshops which were held in the Maboneng District.
The SHARPSHARP (activities) Laboratory-Performance and Cross Currents projects was a collaboration with Carlos Pez- Gonzales which took place in and around Johannesburg, Gugulethu in Cape Town and in Berlin, Germany and consisted of workshops and interactive public and social choreographies that explored different elements such as architecture, institutions, performers and invited audience.
Performance Artist Peter and erf{81}cultural collective worked with Ntsoana on the commissioned piece, Time of the Small Berries, for the dance Umbrella Festival.Van Heerden was an integral part of the first edition of the In House Project both as a performer and host of the closing discussions. He also performed in the project when it was taken to Cape Town as part of Emerging Modernities.
The shift away from traditional concepts of dance and performance has taken Ntsoana down the road towards the creation of works which are Living Installations. The ongoing collaboration with visual artist, Vaughn Sadie has been highly successful in this regard.
Several works have been created, most notably Inhabitant which won the Critical Endevour Award at the iDans Festival in Istanbul in 2011. As a team, the collaboration has conducted various workshops both on their own behalf as well as for Drama for Life.
Recognition of the sucess of the collaboration resulted in the creation of the performance installation Hijacked by Rainbow Nation and Mabele Mabele Habatho for the MTN Young Contemporaries Award in 2012.
